What our clients say about us

Awesome experience! From the heart!

We had a fantastic experience with Tiago who was very knowledgeable and helpful. My son had a great banter with him on Chelsea vs Porto!

The tour was very well organised, the lunch was great, everyone on the tour got along very well and the scenery and experience was awesome! Detours are very experienced and know the best spots to pick.

Best 1 day trip with amazing guides!

A fabulous day spent in the national park, exploring the many waterfalls, swimming in secret lagoon, having a delicious picnic and mainly having loads of fun with our small group and two amazing Detour guides!

Fantastic day trip with João (John)!

Simply amazing! Wonderful day spent in the Geres national park, with amazing views of the forestry and waterfalls, a swim among the waterfalls, a scenic picnic lunch, and additionally João provided a thorough history of the area and the lifestyle of the people living in the park.

We were picked up from our hotel right on time, and since the weather was a bit poor in the morning João mentioned that if things did not clear up there was a plan B (involving hot springs) to fall back on if needed. Every aspect of the trip was well organized and executed, and João was friendly, sociable, and knowledgable guide.

We had a good lunch at a beautiful spot with a 360 degrees view over the valley. We did several stops at nice point along the route. At the end there was a tour by one of the port houses/winery’s with instruction how everything is working end the backgrounds of the port wine. And the tasting of course.. I can recommended these company highly for one of their tours.

Beautiful 1 day escape from Porto!

We chose to take a day out of the bars and streets of Porto and decided to seek out some waterfalls and rivers Geres National Park. The journey was very comfortable and not too long (under 2 hours including a stop for Breakfast), having been picked up promptly by our guide Tiago. We only ordered the trip less than 24 hrs beforehand so I was very pleased with the level of service (calls to check dietary requirements, frequent exchange of email.

The hikes in Geres National Park were wonderful – not too challenging (although had we asked for an aggressive trek this would have been possible) and we saw countless waterfalls, stunning landscapes and dense forest that I would not have naturally associated with Portugal. We had the opportunity to swim on a couple of occasions (chilly but worth it!), and stopped for a very tasty picnic at a stunning view point.

Our guide Tiago was very friendly, spoke perfect English, was incredibly knowledgeable about the region from a geographical and historical point of view and fun to spend time with. He gave us lots of options on how to spend the time we had and even drove us directly to the airport at the end of the day.
Highly recommended all round.
